Madison

Madison on Park features Southern Californian, Mediterranean-inspired cuisine in a uniquely beautiful restaurant space. Located in University Heights, Madison on Park is both modern and refreshingly original, yet warm and inviting. Madison has a light, open-air quality--perfect for the San Diego climate.

The 3,000 square foot space was transformed by the industrial design firm, Archisects--incorporating colorful nooks, cedar-lined walls and an arching ceiling. My favorite aspect is the geometric, triangle pattern inlaid along the walls. This colorful addition brings warmth and excitement into the space, and gently mimics the sapphire blue recessed booths that sit across from it. The attention to detail here is beyond, making it an inspiring and exciting place to enjoy a meal with family and/or friends.

The menu at Madison is refined and simple, providing visitors with quick and easy choices--at no sacrifice to the palette. Don't miss the Brie--which comes perfectly warm and paired with Apricot Habanero Honey. It is a delicious combination of spicy and sweet. Recently added at Madison (thank goodness!) is a weekend brunch. The menu is fully stocked with popular items like avocado toast and Mediterranean breakfast. There are also standout items like the Banana Nutella Waffle and the Potato and Beet Hash. Yum!

Madison's full-bar features a variety of cocktails that are to sure to impress. The beautiful bar space is warmly lit and seems to glow. Each booth in the interior bar is partitioned via a "guitar string-inspired rope installation." This unique addition continues through the restaurant space, adding visual intrigue. The beer and wine list is fantastic, and well-rounded--but the cocktails take the cake. Designed by Dan Dufek, Madison's cocktail list is above-and-beyond delicious. Each drink is beautifully prepared, taking craft cocktails to another level. A popular choice is the "East Barnet." It is light and refreshing, and perfect for these upcoming Summer days.

Be sure to snag at table at Madison on Park. This beautiful space is one surely not to miss. For more information, or to make a reservation, click here.
